Delicious steamed dumplings that are perfect as an appetizer or main dish, enjoyed worldwide for their tender filling and soft wrapper.

Ingredients
200g ground pork or chicken
1 cup finely chopped cabbage
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 garlic clove, minced
Push dough wrappers (store-bought or homemade)make it yourself

Method

Combine ground meat, chopped cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well.

Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper.

Dampen the edges of the wrapper with water.

Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal.

Arrange the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves.

Steam over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.

Serve hot with dipping soy sauce or chili oil.
