Homemade Pizza Marigold from Lisa

Ingredients
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour2 tablespoons olive oil1 teaspoon salt1/2 cup tomato sauce2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers1 teaspoon dried oreganoFresh basil leaves (optional)Salt to taste

Method

Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and a pinch of sugar; let it sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Add the activated yeast mixture and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 45 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions.

On a floured surface, stretch or roll each portion into a thin round shape.

Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.

Spread tomato sauce evenly over the surface of each dough base.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, then add pepperoni, bell peppers, and dried oregano.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
