Grandad Jim's Snow-Dusted Chocolate Christmas Tree Brownies
Rich chocolate brownies become little Christmas trees with green frosting, snowy white chocolate, pretzel trunks, and starry tops.

Preheat the oven to 175°C.

Grease an 20 cm square baking pan.

Line the pan with parchment paper.

Melt the butter and semisweet chocolate together.

Whisk the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture.

Whisk in the eggs one at a time.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.

Bake for 22 to 25 minutes.

Cool the brownie slab completely in the pan.

Lift the brownie slab onto a cutting board.

Cut the slab into 9 equal squares.

Cut each square diagonally into 2 triangles.

Pipe green frosting in zigzags over each triangle.

Melt the white chocolate.

Drizzle the white chocolate over the frosted brownies.

Press a pretzel half into the base of each triangle for a trunk.

Place a star sprinkle on top of each brownie tree.
