Creamy Tomato Pasta

12 ounces (340 g) pasta (e.g., penne, spaghetti)make it yourself
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste

Method

Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately garnished with extra pepper if desired.
