Ingredients
400 grams of spaghetti or your preferred pastamake it yourself
1 cup fresh basil leavesmake it yourself
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheesemake it yourself
1/3 cup pine nuts or walnuts
2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional: cherry tomatoes for garnish

Method

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, in a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan, nuts, and garlic. Pulse until roughly chopped.

Slowly add olive oil while blending until you reach a smooth consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

Mix the pesto with the cooked pasta until evenly coated. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan or cherry tomatoes if desired.
