Combine the cranberries, granulated sugar, orange juice, and water in a small saucepan.

Simmer over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.

Cool the cranberry mixture completely.

Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.

Beat the mascarpone, icing sugar, and vanilla in a separate bowl until smooth.
