Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef
8 small corn or flour tortillasmake it yourself
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprikamake it yourself
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
1 cup chopped lettuce
1 ripe tomato, diced
Sour cream and salsa for servingmake it yourself
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

Add ground beef, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

While the beef cooks, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.

Assemble tacos by placing the cooked beef on each tortilla, then topping with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, and salsa.
