Sweet Egg Loaf

A soft, lightly sweetened bread that's perfect for breakfast or as a snack, commonly enjoyed in many Eastern households.

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup warm water

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until well combined and slightly frothy.

Add the vegetable oil and warm water; mix thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
