Heat the oven to 200°C.

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.

Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Place the orange halves, onion, and rosemary inside the chicken cavity.

Set the chicken breast-side up in a roasting pan.

Roast the chicken for 60 minutes.

Combine the cranberries, orange juice, honey, brown sugar, and water in a small saucepan.

Simmer the cranberry mixture for 10 minutes until the berries burst and the glaze thickens.

Brush the chicken with the cranberry glaze.

Roast the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes more, brushing it once with additional glaze.

Check that the thickest part of the thigh reaches 74°C.

Rest the chicken for 15 minutes before carving.

Arrange extra cranberries and rosemary around the carved chicken for serving.
